Porsche has revealed its new compact SUV at the LA Motor Show - the first time, claims the German brand, that a sports car has ever been offered in the compact SUV segment. The firm really is going all-out to emphasise the sporting aspects of the Macan: it sets new benchmarks for the segment on road, says Porsche. "It is the sports car in it segment."
Deliveries of the new Macan begin in April 2014 - but it is actually on sale now.
After five days of food, fun and friendly competition, the big prize in the Autoweek America Adventure was in the Mopar booth at the Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas: a limited-edition 2011 Mopar Dodge Charger. PETROL PRICES are at a three-year low, with Yorkshire and Humberside remaining the cheapest area, according to figures from the AA. But the good news for drivers is offset by a real-terms dip in earnings which has pushed wages back to 2002 levels adjusting for inflation, the AA added. Petrol forecourt prices across the UK averaged 129.46p a litre in mid March compared to 129.63p in mid February.
